i want to by a 80gb ps3 for 499 next month but arent sure wait if i should. They keep killing off the systems and Im just wondering if any one knows if there planing on realising a 100gb one for 600 and letting the 80gb die or if the might just jack up the price

I seriously doubt that Sony is going to release another newer PS3 console version. If Sony was going to release a 100GB console within the next year, it would probably sell for $599 or maybe even more. And Sony has seen that a lot of people really aren't too happy about buying a console for $599, so Sony is most likely going to stick with the 40GB and 80GB PS3's.

Plus, you can buy your own larger PS3 hard drive for a good price. Xbox 360 owners have to buy the 20GB hard drive that is made only for the Xbox 360 and it costs $100. You can buy a 100GB internal hard drive for your PS3 for just a little over $100 dollars.
