If they're still in training, they're not a regular employee yet, right? So then if they're let go, that doesn't equal getting fired, right?

First of all, this all depends on what type of job you are training for. Some jobs do not pay for training and some pay completely different wages during training. If this job is not paying for training, no.

If you are being paid (fully compensated) for training and coming in for a full shift--YES it is still getting fired!

I recently was accepted to a job that can fire people during training if they do not past certain tests or show up late so apparently you can be fired from training unless you are not been compensated. In that situation, its volunteering lol...

They are already an employee even when they are still in training. So, it does equal to getting fired.

You are arguing over semantics. Yes you were fired if that happens, but if you prefer to say you were "let go" that's OK too.
