How accurate is the New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures:
Old Testament:
In fact, the New World Translation is a scholarly work. In 1989, Professor Benjamin Kedar of Israel said:
"In my linguistic research in connection with the Hebrew Bible and translation, I often refer to the English edition as what is known as the New World Translation. In doing so, I find my feeling repeatedly confirmed that this kind of work reflects an honest endeavor to achieve an understanding of the text that is as accurate as possible. Giving evidence of a broad command of the original language, it renders the original words into a second language understandably without deviating unnecessarily from the specific structure of the Hebrew....Every statement of language allows for a certain latitude in interpreting or translating. So the linguistic solution in any given case may be open to debate. But I have never discovered in the New World Translation any biased intent to read something into the text that it does not contain."
New Testament:
While critical of some of its translation choices, BeDuhn called the New World Translation a “remarkably good” translation, “better by far” and “consistently better” than some of the others considered. Overall, concluded BeDuhn, the New World Translation “is one of the most accurate English translations of the New Testament currently available” and “the most accurate of the translations compared.”—Truth in Translation: Accuracy and Bias in English Translations of the New Testament.
“Here at last is a comprehensive comparison of nine major translations of the Bible:
King James Version, New American Standard Bible, New International Version, New Revised Standard Version, New American Bible, Amplified Bible, Today's English Version (Good News Bible), Living Bible, and the New World Translation.
The book provides a general introduction to the history and methods of Bible translation, and gives background on each of these versions. Then it compares them on key passages of the New Testament to determine their accuracy and identify their bias. Passages looked at include:
John 1:1; John 8:58; Philippians 2:5-11; Colossians 1:15-20; Titus 2:13; Hebrews 1:8; 2 Peter 1:1

(Please note that according to Dr. Jason BeDuhn, only the NWT translated John 1:1 correctly)
Jehovah's Witnesses are the closest group of Christians that believe and conduct themselves to the first century Christians that you will find today.

that's your question? a million) The Jehovah's Witness corporation claims...............? We declare plenty. 2) yet as a effect of those strikes of exclusiveness to their corporation, that they have got been persuaded to have self assurance in, are they responsible of breaking the scripture that announces to "pay back Cesar's issues to Cesar yet God's issues to God"? No. I continually supply what's due "Caesar" gladly. I pay my taxes and obey the regulation in basic terms as long because it would not circulate against any Bible standards. 3) this might o.k. be the case by using fact there has been a call for imposed by potential of their corporation to grant absolute submission to their corporation, thereby taking the area of God and requiring "God's issues". Please study right here: "whether, baptism isn't a trifling tub. this is an emblem of something needed. Going under the water symbolizes which you have died on your former existence course. Being raised up out of the water shows which you're actually alive to do the will of God. undergo in innovations, too, which you have made a dedication to Jehovah God himself, to not a artwork, a reason, different people, or a company. Your dedication and baptism are the commencing up of an exceedingly close friendship with God—an intimate relationship with him.—Psalm 25:14." how are you able to declare what you have claimed? you're purposely being cheating. 4) nicely isn't this ironic? by using fact the Jw org makes use of this good comparable scripture to sentence balloting for human governments. a minimum of human governments are actually not announcing we choose God's issues. you're failing on your assumptions. additionally, why are you and Joseph being very unChristian on your namecalling? Bar-Anerges gave an exceedingly considerate respond on your misrepresentation of Christians and you call him "Bar A'ss"? shame on you the two! you may cave in and convey regret from the two your God (any between the three) and Bar-Anerges. Makes me sick to think of which you and Joseph declare to be Christians.

Hiya.
The simple answer to the hateful things that you see written about the JW's is this.
People often hate what they don't understand , and this often shows by the haters questions in here that are flawed in accuracy or truthfulness right from the start.
Fortunately clear thinking people see right through their lies very easily.
To cover over their lies these haters more often than not will hide their Q/A in their profile.
Does an honest person need to hide what they have said ?
For more information about what the Jehovah's Witnesses believe in , feel free to email me.

The JW were founded in 1872 by Charles Taze Russell (1852-1916) There are no records of their religion before this time, contrary to the JW claims. They are simply one of many religious groups that sprang up in the USA in the 1800's.
The Three Main Sources for JW's
1. Protestantism
2. Adventism
3. Arianism
Their book of Faith is a combination of scriptures with some additional information. New World Translation (NWT) Not an authentic Christian document of Sacred Scripture.

--WE AS Jehovah's Witnesses find it comical at times as to what we have not been found guilty of! And what we are supposed to have done, do or do not do!
====UPDATE: "sinners like me" has a wopper of a tale to tell, AMAZING of how evil and satanic all our acts are according to this bizaar expose of us, but it does not top the following:
--"60 MINUTES" & LESLIE STAHL did a very interesting hatchet job on us according to this writer.....(Could not cut & paste so here it is in part:
****"I don't know why I was so bothered by 60 minutes " Sunday night attempt at a hatchet job on Jehovah's Witnesses , but I was.
Maybe it was because a pair of sisters, both Witnesses, who used to work for me were 2 of the kindest, most decent people I've ever known....
..Or, maybe because the segment -featuring Leslie Stahl, a usually rock-solid journalist and interviewer- was shallow, superficial, inadequate and downright disappointing.
Probably, though it bothered me because religious persecution bothers me. And that's all the show was meant to be . Stahl started with ratings-friendly premise that thousands of Witness children are apparently dropping dead daily because their parents withold permission for blood transfusions......
....The idea, obviously , was to portray Jehovah's Witnesses as some sort of barbaric and religious cult that browbeats unsuspecting and wide-eyed citizens into joining its family, and takes particular delight in killing its own children, preferably just prior to sitting down and eating them......
....Most troublesome, I guess was the unspoken suggestion that "something needs to be done about this" Like what? Declare their beliefs illegal and imprison them if they don't control their thoughts?
The fact is that Witnesses honestly, truly believe what they believe. It is their faith , their religion and many have dedicated their lives to it. Not only are they entitled to do that; they have the Constitutional Right to do that.
An uncalled -for broadside by a poorly done television show notwithstanding."

--JUST THOUGHT I would give you an idea of the silliness in the presentations people try to make about us!

****Model Citizens”—Branded as Dangerous
**Which religious group was said to be “the most dangerous of all sects” in the opinion of Catholic authorities quoted in Spain’s popular ABC newspaper? You may be surprised to learn that ABC was talking about Jehovah’s Witnesses.
**Do the accusations made against them have an impartial, objective basis? Note the following declarations from other sources:
“The Witnesses teach people to pay their taxes honestly, not to participate in wars or preparations for war, not to steal and, in general, to follow a life-style that if it were adopted by others would lead to an improvement in the standards of civil cohabitation.”—Sergio Albesano, Talento, November-December 1996.
--“Contrary to the insinuations circulated on certain occasions, [Jehovah’s Witnesses] do not appear to me to represent the slightest danger to the State’s institutions. They are citizens who are peace-loving, conscientious, and respectful toward the authorities.”—A Belgian parliamentary deputy.
--“The Jehovah’s Witnesses are recognizably the most honest people in the Federal Republic.”—German newspaper Sindelfinger Zeitung.
--“You might regard [Jehovah’s Witnesses] as model citizens. They pay taxes diligently, tend the sick, battle illiteracy.”—U.S. newspaper San Francisco Examiner.
--"Jehovah’s Witnesses experience greater success than members of other denominations in maintaining stable marital unions.”—American Ethnologist.
--"Jehovah’s Witnesses are among the most upright and diligent of the citizenry of African countries.”—Dr. Bryan Wilson, Oxford University.
--“Members of that faith have contributed greatly through the decades toward expanding liberty of conscience.”—Nat Hentoff, Free Speech for Me—But Not for Thee.
--“They have . . . made a definite contribution to the preservation of some of the most precious things in our democracy.”—Professor C. S. Braden, These Also Believe.

It is an organization for Jehovah's Witnesses. They claim to be Christians but they do not believe Jesus is God. They make Him to be " a god" and also an archangel Michael.
