The book series that the "Golden Compass" is based on is supposed to be pro-atheism if I am correct. In the third book God is killed, so the question is:
Why put God in a book that is supposed to support atheism?

Because making god into a personified character that can be killed discredits he/she/it as a deity, which technically makes anyone who continues to worship he/she/it, by default, an Atheist because Atheists lack belief in deities. Think about it.
No one thought of that? Do I get a prize? I think I should get a prize.

One again ... as always ... books are stories. The bible is a story. The Golden Compass is a story. They can talk about whatever they want. It's just fiction.

However, I think it talks about the myth of God got killed.
No matter what atheists say, we know that God is real and He is alive. They cannot understand it when they rely on their own understanding.

It makes people think.
For the past few years, people have been letting others think for them instead of thinking for themselves; therefore becoming stagnate in our ideas. For someone to change the way people think might be the only way to get out of this rut.
