It weighs 8.5 lbs. Its hickory smoked, bone in, half ham and ready to cook. How long do i need to cook it for and how? Thanks for all your answers and remember this will be my first ham that i have cooked ever.

My country baked ham recipe. Check on the package for cooking time. Should say x number of minutes per pound.
To prepare for cooking. Remove the wrapping and wash it well in water. Place it flat side down in a pan lined with aluminum foil (makes the pan easier to clean later). Use whole cloves and push them into the ham about 2-3 inches apart. Coat the top and sides with brown sugar, and using wooden toothpicks attach slices of pineapple to the top and around the sides. In the center of each pineapple slice attach a marschino cherry. Cover with aluminum foil and cook according to the directions on the wrapper. For the last 30 minutes remove the foil cover to allow the ham to brown.
Served with baked beans, candied yams, and a green vegetable of your choice makes a delicious meal.

There should be cooking directions on the ham package.
