This is a very interesting question and phenomena. The power of the mind has got to be at the core of the matter. Why women are more susceptible to this is a matter that a candid conversation from a man would sound like a bigot. Maybe its focus, empathy, estrogen....like I said I will sound like a bigot and I am not nor do I want that label...

Wow, this is a great example of using a question to create a false impression. Usually, the premise of a question is taken as true by people. What evidence is there that women are more likely to be "possessed" than men? And how do we know there are more women stigmatists?

While I know that's untrue, because there is no such thing as demon possession, I think that socially, it's because men have always been in charge, due to superior size in the beginning and due to that--the early structuring of society and religion. It's hard to place that stigma on the boss.

Religious marking's doesnt really equate to possession for me. As far as I know possession is something evil spirits do, and you gotta wonder with prison's so full of men if your first claim is accurate.

Well I think Satan knows women's weaknesses. Heck he went for Eve instead of Adam. It just shows how he is biased toward women. :) He also knows if he can get a woman, he can eventually get the man through her.

I thought it had to do with the serpent deceives Eve into eating fruit from the forbidden tree, and she gives some of the fruit to Adam.

Women, on account of hormonal differences, are more prone to hysteria. I am a Christian, but I am pretty sure that "possession" is a mental condition linked to hysteria.
This will not win me the feminist of the year award, I know.
