Reincarnation does not mean a belief in a god and does not require a belief in a god.
Theist means a belief in the existence of one or more gods or deities. Atheism is the opposite to theism

i'd rather think reincarnation is true than believing that heaven or hell is true

I am agnostic and do not believe in reincarnation; in fact, I hate the concept. However, having said that, I can imagine how it might be the principle by which the Cosmos operates for the reason that consciousness seems to me possibly to be separate from physical existence. I do not mean in the sense of a belief in the "soul" which has a religious connotation, but in the fact of our essential self surviving death, then requiring another body to inhabit. I'm not sure that my idea makes sense, and I hope that it is incorrect, since I would actually prefer simply to be dead rather than to reincarnate!

If you research the topic you'll find scientific evidence of reincarnation. What's more proof than the people who talk of their past lives! They are a living proof. Kids don't lie, they tell it all.
If we don't "believe" we shut them up and say they have wild imagination, and if we believe we listen and explain to them that "Past is Past" and we have to live the present. Believe me, blessed is who doesn't remember his/her past life.

A "real" atheist would know that would require a God and a soul.

But..........you will not get an answer form a REAL atheist here....
There are no real atheists in R&S real atheists DO NOT spend time in any sites with the words religion OR spirituality in them !!! the so called "atheists" (yea right) you see here are really using this site to learn more about God without going to church !! they DO believe in him but they are just not ready yet to admit it publicly so they come here. NO real atheist would EVER be caught in R & S. I used to be atheist but NEVER came here until I got saved then I saw all the fence sitters in here claiming to be "atheist"(yea right) but really here for the ONLY reason atheists go to ANY place with the word “religion“ in it….. They are seeking Jesus !!!. So keep preaching here often they do want to hear it but must deny it to look “atheist” in front of their friends in here.
P.S. they MUST deny being fence sitters so they can look “atheist” in front of there friends
