I think that girls just have more issues to work with. In the past the women, even in the Bible, It says that the women would only take care of their children and the male would be dominant. I just think that women have more issues to deal with like family issues, love life, etc. Women cry more because they over think things and think that crying would relieve the pain when men have physical strength and like to hurt things because its easier that way to vent our feelings. Men= fun and being better than others! Women= love and care! Please don't feel that I am against you because of my opinion. I just want to help! :)

No they are not on the same playing field.
Women, because they are more sensitive, can feel emotions on a much deeper level.
Caring for children, the next generation is the most obvious.
But there are more subtle ways.
For instance in the Bible, many women are mentioned because of their ability to assess a situation from a deep emotional level
Sarah, wife of Abraham,
Abigail, wife of Nabal.
Rahab, prostitute, Faith in God for Salvation, Hebrews, 11:30, 31, AND JAMES 2:25
So emotionally, our being more sensitive has saved our collective BUTTS more times than we can count!!!!!!!
I am so grateful that we have the ability to be soooo much more sensitive than men.
It has probably saved Humanity from destruction countless times.
Because behind every strong man...is a GOOD woman!
Oh one LAST THING Physical pain there is NO even playing field there either,
Imagine that a male is pregnant............ So labor starts.
In a woman, we ALL know how the baby gets out , right???????
So, now a guy must give birth the same way, through the birth canal;, and out the obvious opening.
SAME WAY THE SPERM GOT IN IT MUST COME OUT FULLY DEVELOPED
So, now I want male volunteers for the baby coming out the same way it got in!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No. Girls and boys ARE NOT on the same playing field.
We women are light years ahead, so respect that son!

It isn't so much how they were made but how they are raised. Most young girls are allowed to cry and are even petted and consoled when they are crying. When a young boy cries they are told "big boys don't cry", be a big boy, or teased and called a crybaby. Crying is something that is natural for both boys and girls when they are young but is trained out of the boys as they get older.

this has to do with socialization more than genetics at least most likely, young female children are generally allowed to cry while boys are told to stop, they are encouraged to talk about their emotions while boys are told to "be a man" and cover them up, etc. it's operant conditioning.

God did not make it so. Men are taught not to cry or show too much emotion. Why do drunk men often cry or hug ? They are free of their inhibitions. A drunk mans words are a sober mans thoughts.

Social pressures/constraints stop guys from emotional displays. Thats why we get more male criminals, pent up anger, frustration and the like.

Girls & guys are not on the same playing field. Each sex has it's strengths and weaknesses. As to why God blessed girls with some things and guys with others, I can only guess. You'll have to take that one up with Him. :)

don't know im not a girl. And Paul did not say they are the weaker sex. He said Women are much more Gentle. and men should treat them as If they were weaker not because theyre weaker.
IHe was using a figure of speech like for example treat your mother as if she was a queen, that isnt saying your mom is the queen of the country.

I don't think it has anything to do with deities. Society raises boys discouraging them from crying. They are encouraged to suck it up and keep trying. Girls aren't pushed as much.
I don't think it has anything to do with being nurturing and softer. I've known women who are not maternal and other strict women with hearts of frickin stone.
Edit: On the contrary actually, there was this recent article... http://www.nytimes.com/2005/10/13/fashion/thursdaystyles/13crying.html

I know you don't want me to say this, but I think it is society that really makes boys hide their emotions more. Men have to hide their fear, sadness and troubles while women can show their sadness and tears without having people judge them. I think that girls have more horomones, so their emotions are more prominent and changing.
