so you are saying that you never sinned? ALL HAVE SINNED AND HAS FALLEN SHORT OF THE GLORY OF GOD. THE WAGES OF SIN IS DEATH, BUT THE GIFT OF GOD IS ETERNAL LIFE THROUGH JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD. Jesus died on the cross to save me from my sin- and yours. If it was not adam and eve, it would have been you and I.

Adam and Eve didn't commit a crime for which you're being punished. They blew your college fund in Vegas, so either you make it on your own, or you don't make it - it's all up to you. BTW, If you still want to go, Jesus paid for a free ride if you'll accept it.

While it is patently unfair to be punished for any misdeed that you have not committed, it is a fact of life, which is by no means fair, that many people will paint you with the same brush as your other family members. That is, if your mother and father were criminals, then some people might assume you are one, too and treat you as such. You can overcome this by perseverance and living the good life and people will come to see you instead of who they think you may be.

We are not being punished.
As far as Adam and Eve, we cannot be perfect, because they were not perfect. How can perfection come from imperfection? It can't.

Maybe we shouldn't be, but we are. In many families, there is a history of abuse, disease, etc that starts several generations behind us and hits us because we were born into that particular family instead of another one. That is what was meant. It is not really "punishment" but karma.

Yes, because we would have inherited the freedom from original sin. In other words, we inherited both the bad and good. Natural inheritance works pretty much the same here on earth and pretty much within all cultures.

I know, that's bizarre and cruel. I mean, was someone sitting around one day thinking, "How can I justify condemning newborn babies to hell? Hey I've got an idea- original sin!!"
