For me I can get a sense of places and people. Usually with a place its super strong emotions like anger, or love or other such things. For people its a little diffrent. It's like your reading them but able to see though their defenses. Sometimes its easy to adapt their feelings as your own by accident too. If their pissed then I can get mad too even though nothing happened to me. It works both ways too though. Sometimes I'm in a sad mood and it will make the whole atmosphere sad and icky in which case it effects everyone else as well.
Do I get used to it? Yes and no. Usually I can check on myself and if I get an odd feeling I think is this mine or someone elses. It's usually easy to spot. Sometimes it catches me off guard though. For example I went to work one day and I felt like I was walking though waist high muck. I found out later that day that before I came in their had been a terrible fight between two coworkers.
If you have any other questions try these websites listed below. Also you can mail me anytime you have a question on that subject and I can share more.
Hope that helps

As a rooms emotions wash over you it can be like the most intimate invasion of privacy. Not only did you pick up others true emotion you could also gain insight into hidden motive. At the same time you can loose yourself and if not careful act out the emotions/ agendas of others so violating your own sacredness. Anyway to get used to probably never fully, learn how to handle it eventually with Patience.

No, I just zeroed in to the person emoting it and share the laughs and events of the room. Sounds unnerving to the one emoting but not for me... I send peace.

I am none of the above but I find people very predictable and unimaginative. Reading their mind is pretty simple.
I do not enjoy large groups of people any more no matter the location.

There are no such thing.
Anyone who claims to have such powers is either; lying, conning you out of money, or, as you correctly put it the first time, a psychopath.
