Because people who believe in God are either indifferent or ignorant of others who chose not to believe in God. Athiests are not evil. How can you even say that? People who I have met where religion is not their primary focus are some the best people I have met in my life.

Because evil is simply the absence of God. Atheists have rejected God and therefore are void of the fruit the spirit of God bears through His people. It is not a matter of what the world considers "good". Im sure most athiests would say it is "bad" to murder someone. But their values and meaning of "good" and "love" is different because they are not in tune with the creator of all things good.

Actually I'm Buddhist, so I don't believe God. I do think that Jesus was a wise man and I do think we can learn a lot of things from the bible. 1 thing I can't stand is that some Christians are very close minded and instead of embracing the teachings of Jesus, they use the bible to condemn people who are different. They are giving Christianity a bad name. Even there is a heaven, I doubt they will be favored because they are so shallow.

Sometimes people think that other people are evil if they don't share the same religious beliefs as them.

I don't believe that athiests are against God. Athiests just don't believe He exists. That does not make a person evil.
People do not have to be Christian to have morals or be a good person.

Athiests are evil. They come from the land of bad grammar and typos.

I met an Athiest once and the man could not be makin none sentence that make the no sense list of sense making.

Atheist is spelled as typed and is only ever capitilized at the beginning of sentences.

There not evil, they just don't have much to believe in faith wise. Personally I believe in God, but that's something I accepted. It's the way I choose to live my life. I won't sit here and say anyone who doesn't believe in Jesus is going to burn in hell. Everyone has there own way of living with beliefs. A lot of people who believe in God though are very anti anything else pertaining to beliefs or as far as Atheists are concerned non beliefs.

It's an old Crusade idea that is now subliminally ingrained in our psyche. The first holy wars fought by any religion included wars against Paganism and Atheism. Both the Koran and the Bible teach to convert the unconverted, and some interpreted that as "Atheists are evil, and they need fixing." It's not a major ideal now, but atheism is still certainly frowned upon in most modern societies, kind of like homosexuality. Tolerance is a virtue, even if it never was in The Book of Virtues that I recall.

People say stuff like atheists are evil because they are jerks. Lots of people just cant be happy without putting others down for some reason. Also i have noticed that people who are hardcore into religion seem to be intolerant of other people and there choices. But that is a vague generalization and not all are like that

ps
I am an Atheist. i would rather believe in science then a set religion

As a preliminary issue, everyone is evil. That is part of our basic nature. We all fall short of perfection and it is not a relative test.

I am betting the meaning, though, is that atheists are not doing anything to address their broken relationship with God. By definition, they cannot be, because they dispute that such a relationship exists.

And no matter how "good" they are, they are not perfect. Thus, without God's assistance, they are not making it into Heaven.

And yes, this is a radical simplification.

Good luck.
