Is it illegal to carry nunchucks around with you if they are legal in your state?

I don't see why you couldn't carry them around if your state says it is ok. As long as they are not concealed and are kept in a case of some sort. I really wouldn't carry them around like in your hands or in your pocket, that kind of thing makes it look like your asking for trouble.

It is illegal to Carry or use nunchucku in the state of Colorado.
Which is Blindingly stupid.
However, I have only heard one story of it being enforced, the person had their chucks in the passenger seat and not in their bag.
Twice a year we have the Single and Double Nunchucku festival in Boulder and Denver Colorado, it's well known to people in the area and police have never harassed us...(about that).
So as a rule, keep your weapons in their cases when moving from class/practice area and home.
I think we all have swords and technically any knife larger then... what? 12 inches is illegal to carry pretty much anywhere.

I have not heard of a state where they are legal so what state would that be? Also I bet if you look at the statutes and fine print of that state statute you will find that anything that is spring loaded, attached, hinged, joined, or has a pivot point for the purpose of creating a weapon or making a weapon is in itself illegal.

Yes it is illegal, my friend got pulled over and when the officer saw the chucks he first drew is gun and then simmered down and told him that he could not carry them out in the open. So i imagine you cannot carry them on your person.

It's illegal in my state. Cops pull their guns on you if they see any martial arts weapons on you. Learn some stick fighting and buy a cane. Canes are legal.

You did not specify whether you were going to or from your class. If you mean to carry them on your person in case of trouble...... train harder.
