im mean like to a point were the hair breaks and is damaged

not using neutralizing shampoo,adding more chemicals to the mixture,dying ur hair straight away,do whatever the instructions say you shouldn't do, over process hair,wash hair some hours before perm ,using the super strength for fine hair,use a comb to comb ur scalp while the cream is on ur hair and much more..But anyway why do you need this for?:)

a perm can mess up by washing the hair right before you get a perm, leaving it in too long, scratching the head, not using the right type of perm for the persons head,

Keeping the perm in too long can also cause damage.

take a shower within 24 hours of getting the perm

water doesn't ruin a perm...you just have to flat iron it and maintain it to get that desired look back.
