Perhaps first your friends. Moral support is always nice. After you feel a little better than maybe examine your faith and beliefs (everybody believes something even if it is not to believe anything). Start with what you know deep down is true and build up to how the divine has stepped in to help in the past. Everyone has had a time or two when something good happened seemingly out of the blue. Even a little thing like a smile from someone close you that brightened your day. Just remember that worrying is like praying in reverse, and it does cause undesired results.

God, kneeling down in humble prayer always makes me feel better. Other ways are listening to music, talking to family and friends, reading the scriptures, think of all the blessings/things you are thankful for in life. No matter how bad I am feeling (and I am usually optimistic also) I can always turn to these places and feel peace.

Never, ever, ever, not even for a second, give up hope. It may not come when you want it to but it will come when its supposed to. When you can't trust yourself, find someone who is interested in your well being to talk to, like your best friend, your mom, your partner, and be honest about what is on your mind. These situations run their cycles and then its onto something else.

Honestly?
I turn to everything that you are *not* supposed to. I drink and I smoke, etc... I do not recommend that because it is bad for your health and doesn't resolve the situation. But I've always used substances to dull the feeling.

You turn to what ever brings you back to haveing that hope again. We all turn to friends and family, some turn to God, others turn to GODS. None of us have the right answer for anyone else. But if you turn to your friends and you turn to your family than maybe, just maybe, you'll find your answer!

God is glorified by our praises. When you begin to feel low reach up to His nail scarred hands and praise Him with great praise. He says "15 And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me."(Ps 50:15)
Jesus said "28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."(Matt 11:28-30)
God loves us. He showed us His love in His offering His son in our place. He will never leave you or forsake you. "3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us."(Rom 5:3-5)
"24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen."(Jude 1:24-25)
God bless you

"Where do you turn for peace?
When other sources cease to make whole?
When with a wounded heart, anger or, malice,
I draw myself apart, Searching my soul.
Where, when my arcing grows,
Where, when I anguish,
Where, in my need to know,
Where can I run?
Where is the quiet hand to calm my anguish?
Who can understand?
He, only One.
He answer privately, reaching, my reaching...
In {My Gethsemane,} Savior and Friend.
Gentle the peace he finds for my beseeching constant he is and kind. Love without ends.

I turn to my friends, my husband, my family. Sometimes it's good to get a fresh perspective from someone not directly involved in your situation. In those cases, I turn to long-distance friends, as I feel they can give me the least-biased opinions.
I also play Everquest 2. Nothing quite like killing a dragon to make one's problems fade away, at least temporarily :)
