Why is it when you talk to God you are praying, but if he talks back, you are considered crazy?

I'm not saying GOD speaks to me or for that matter that I actually pray. I'm not religious by any means for fukks sake!

This is just another random question.

God does speak to you. He will send you messages in everyday things you do. You don't believe in God? Shame on you. I am living proof that God does exist. I had cancer and thanks to the good Lord up above, I am now cancer free. THANK YOU MY DEAR HEAVENLY FATHER!!!!

My guess is because most people don't have a personal relationship with God. Although God has never spoken out loud to me, He has answered my prayers in other ways. It would be pretty awesome if He did decide to speak out loud but for some reason He doesn't, to me anyway.

It is likely that it is also because it is so rare. Millions of people talk to God so it is considered normal. Not many hear Him talk to them so it is considered abnormal. I think we often forget about the other ways He speaks to us though - in answered prayers, in signs He leaves, etc.

Another possible reason that not many hear Him is because we don't listen. Perhaps His is the language of love or nature, not English.

People know you and don't believe you are any different then them. If God talks to you and not them then they must not be worthy enough. To prove that they are worthy enough you must not really be talking with god but be crazy.

Even if they don't know you it is the same idea. Why are you better than me.

Others don't believe in God so if you are talking to something that doesn't exists you must be crazy.

Lastly if God is talking to you then it doesn't matter what anyone thinks.

because most people do not believe that God can really communicate with His people. And He does. However, let them call me crazy- when you stop and think about it , not getting anything back from someone you talk with would be very boring wouldn't it. I am glad that He responds to me.

You aren't crazy.

Lot of people say it is schizophrenia. But they say that because they are like this.

They cover their eyes and stick fingers in their ears and say, "I can't hear you! I can't hear you!" and "I can't see it so it's not real! I can't see it so it's not there!"

Not only that but they are afraid that...if it is real, then that means....the Bible is true...and they WILL be held accountable to God.
