An invitation to him, because he's an a$$hole? Man, I'd like to know where he gets his so called information.

I disagree with that. It's a show of affection but doesn't necessarily mean that it's an invitation to have sex right then and there. It also be used as foreplay but doesn't necessarily mean that it happens all the time. It depends on each circumstance. A first kiss doesn't necessarily mean that you're going to have sex immediately.

I disagree. I personally don't like kissing because it has no meaning especially with the invitation thing but it may be because I'm kissing the wrong guys. To me kissing is just an trust issue because you never know where a guy puts his lips and on who.

Hmm... it seems as if you've already answered this question yourself since it's so biased the way you put it.
A kiss is not an invitation, but it probably gives him the idea that he's closer to getting an invitation then he was before. Don't blame guys for wanting the "hole". It's the way we're built. It's like an addiction that *most* of us are born with.

A kiss is just a kiss. It may eventually lead to more sexual activity, but it is not an automatic invitation. This *male friend* is an @$$.

No it doesn't. The problem with most guys is that they think a kiss is a prelude to sex, when a kiss really is an event all in itself, or at least it should be. A good kiss can be heaven on earth and a thousand times more than sex. I shuld be a conversation.

What you have been told is hearsay anyway, disregard what you have been told. Serious kissing should only be done when you are near the point of marraige, until then respect for the other person is a priority, and means no jumping to conclusions, in other words do not read into something that is not there.

my husband and i kiss all the time. it is not necessarily a sexual advance. a kiss can mean many things. it can be a hello, goodbye,i missed you, i wish you didnt have to go etc. it really depends on the type of kiss were talking about. sometimes when you kiss somebody a certain way it definitely can lead to sex but not always.

Not at all. I suppose that a really hot tongue-kissing session might give that impression at some point, but that sounds like one of those "good old boys" who would refute a date rape claim by saying "she was asking for it".
If I knew a guy thought that way, I wouldn't even date him, much less kiss him.
