How to split PDF file into 2 for smaller file size?

Question

I need to email a large pdf file. I cannot use file sharing sites as it has some personal info.
I split a pdf file in 2 using acrobat 5.0. Both the resulting file has the same original size, not half of it? I tried compressing it but it doesnt help.

Hmm.. It is bizzar that you split the file into 2 with smaller pages but they are still the same size as the original. Not too sure what acrobat 5.0 was like. If I remeber correctly, you can try to make the resulting pdf less backward compatible (as in earlier version of acrobat reader not being able to read the file). Since you have acrobat itself, you can also try to save the file in different format, html or rich text format to save space. Hope this helps.

if the file is having too many images it would definitely make it bigger so try to either remove some of the images or what u can do select some part with mouse and copy paste it to some other place so that you can make as many part you want which would decrease the size of each pdf file.

If u have full version of acrobat 5.0, try inserting a break. You might have to highlight and then cut and paste as a new file.
It shd work.
