My other kittens lost their baby fangs sooner than this, and now I'm worried. All 4 fangs (old set and new set) are almost all the same size. Is this normal? His gums look OK, but I can tell he's irritated. Has this happened to anyone else? I'd prefer to let nature take it's course, but if this sounds like he needs a vet, let me know please.

The same thing just happened with my kitten, the adult teeth were almost in and the babies didn't fall out. They will come out when they are good and ready. As long as he is not in pain it is fine. If he has some trouble eating mix some wet food wit his dry and let it sit a few minutes before he eats it so it will be easier on his teeth.

You should see a vet immediately. The vet will remove the baby teeth so the canines can grow in properly. If they do not, the teeth will be crooked, and he will have problems chewing, and will his teeth might puncture the soft tissues of his mouth. Also, the adult teeth in cats are relatively small, so that is normal.

In most cases the baby canines will fall out about 1 month after the adult canines first appear. If they persist have them removed. This can easily be done when the cat gets fixed, since he'll already be out cold.

At least call the vet and see what they say. They might have to be pulled.
