This is one of those sayings that we may have all used in the past< but have no idea where it came from. I have some friends in the USA that would like to understand its roots. Can you help?

Brown's cow was something of a gadabout socialite in Boston back in the early 1800's. It became something of a celebrity when it would wander about the town and to homes as if it were shopping or going for tea. People started greeting it with "How now, Brown cow?", and that's where that saying originated as well.

Other than that, I haven't a clue as I've never heard the expression "wander around like Brown's cow" and I'm only slightly younger than dirt.

Oh, it annoys the hell out of me too!!! They just don't get the point. If every creation must have a creator, then god(s) must have one too. And that creator also has a creator who also has his creator, etc. It makes your head spin. But what annoys me more is the creationists who accept that god always was/is/will be, but refuse to give the Big Bang theory a chance. You know what's funny? If they had the guts to consider that theory, they'd even realize that in a weird way it's compatible with the concept of god. Meh. I'll stop giving them ideas.
