that also happened to JW. From my observation, they are have good knowledge of what they belief, the same thing with Catholic, they talk with their heart.

Any specific reason to dislike/object them?

Edge, can you tell me that G-d has pointed you to become a judge in this world?

maybe you object it because you are afraid that you are in the wrong way so you need some people to share your belief.

ps. I am not against you, just open another window.

One reason, I think, is that many people are offended or "scared" of the LDS and JW aggressive missionary programs. They feel the need to get defensive when these religions are growing and their's are not. And the best defense is a good offense, eh?

That's just my thought.

Edit: oops, that should read "...JW (because of their) aggressive..."

I agree with what some of the other have said they are just belong judgmental. The fact is they are christian because they teach of Christ and follow what he taught. Just because they have different understandings does not mean they are not christian. Because if you want to play that game then they could say the same of you. I can't imagine God telling anyone they are to be a judge over his children. He is the only one that can do that.

I think the fact a lot of christian people claim mormon arent "real" christian is a major factor in it all.

Fact is they do believe in Christ and "worship" him but not as the other christians think they should therefore they arent "true christians".

Crock of you know what frankly. If you believe in and honor Christ and his teachings then you are Christian.

We ALL know every christian segment/church has their own interpretation of what those teachings were.

So when one group says another group isnt christian or whatever cuz they dont see the teachings the same way.....they are really know it alls that are really just being judgmental.

They're jealous of us! :)

Just kidding. A lot of people hate that which they don't understand. And since they don't understand why we believe the way we believe, they make up lies or half-truths or pretend to fill in the blanks.

It's not fatal to those of us who are firm in the faith. Annoying, sure....but so are mosquito bites. And we just swat those, right?

[directed at some of the responders]
I've always found it astounding that people didn't believe Mormons were Christian.

Christian is to follow Christ and live a Christ like life. To be forgiven by the Grace of God. To be baptized in his name. To teach others about Christ.

Your interpretation of doctrine and your judgment (isn't there some verse about judgment in the bible?? I forget :P ) of those who don't agree with you is unfortunate, but all too common none the less.

You condemn others because of their faith - yet faith in your interpretation is all you have - you have no "proof" of anything just like everybody else. Who are you to proclaim that someone else can't wear the mantle of Christ or the title of Christian?

Why does it take a non-Christian like me to point out the obvious?

I hope Christians love you [as opposed to dislike]...the problem for many is that a morman's beliefs must come from an "addition" to the Bible. Revelation22:18 makes it impossible for Christians to accept doctrines based off of Joseph Smith's writings..

As far as i am concerned, people should concentrate on worrying about 'their' own salvation, instead of what somebody else believes.
Why should a Catholic worry about what a Baptist thinks, or a Lutheren worry about what a Methodist thinks. I firmly believe that you religion is your own business.
if they don't like th Missionaries coming to their door, say no thank you, or put a sign up. the same goes for Jw/
As far as hating a church for its beliefs? Can we say presumptuous, and busy body?
MYOB. that is simple enough, What they believe is their concern, and what makes them happy. Who are you to say, it is not??

Most Christians are opposed to their beliefs because they do not believe Jesus is God - anything but.
