Be specific there was more than one wedding mentioned.

In Matthew there was the wedding at Cana and in Revelation there is mention of the "wedding" between Christ and His church, which is depicted as a bride.

Perry Stone has some info on this topic.

The New Testament Cana miracle of Jesus can be understood a little easier within the context of a regular Judaism wedding of the Old Testament.

When a Jew was engaged back in those days,he would tell his intended,"I go to prepare a place for you, then I will return and take you unto myself".
This is what Jesus told the His "bride" the church,in John 14.
After He was prepared to marry her,a messenger would come and prepare the way(Like John the Baptist)then He would swoop in (a type of the Rapture) and snatch her away and take her home. After that, they would have the Wedding Feast (as we will in Heaven as the Bride of Christ)Jesus said at the Last Supper ,taking a drink of wine,"I will not taste again until I drink it with you in Heaven".

There are many connections. What jumps to mind is the main instruction, by Mary. Do Whatever He tells you to do. Later, Jesus when asked how eternal life can be achieved, He mentioned the ten commandments."Do that and you will live," he said. In the old testament, the commandments of God (whether obeyed or not) plus the Sacrifice of blood, meant eternal life. Likewise, the commandments of Jesus
(the God who created carbon atoms----wine----) plus his blood sacrifice, means life.

Fat Cat is right--there are several wedding party parables, etc. Which one did you have in mind? John 14, Matthew 25, something else?
