Hi, i had a ps3 for about 9 months until someone stole it.
so my brother told me about this site that gives you free stuff
for completing sponsor offers. i ask him how is this possible, he told me that the sponsors pay companies for getting consumers to sign up or complete trials at their site (the sponsors site) so i thought he was lying to until he recieved his ps3 in the mail and showed me the site that said they sent out a ps3 to him, so i wanted to know if i should sign up or not. the only thing is you have to give your credit card number to the sponsors, like blockbuster, gamefly, etc is this safe and would you a true gamer do this

If the ps3 was stolen then your homeowners or renters insurance should cover the replacement. Did you make a police report and do you still have your copy of the reciept or at least your registration info, or did they take the box too?

As a gamer, I wouldn't complete any of the sponser offers to get a new PS3, I would just save up money until I had enough to buy a new one.

But if your brother did it, and he got a PS3, then I guess you could give it a try, but I don't know if I would do it though.

I would definately go to the police about this, since it's a rather expensive piece of equipment. But if you already have, then I wouldn't risk losing more money from these websites. There are a few legit websites but the majority (99%) of them are scams. Don't test it, you'll most likely get you credit card number stolen and have to pay for stuff you didn't buy.
