This is more or less directed at Pagans and New Agers.

Please do not say "Jesus" "Mary" or "God". Also, please exclude "The Great Spirit" and "Allah" and "Yahweh".

If you are ChristoWiccan or Gnostic, chances are there is a saint whose heart rings very close to your own. Or even if you're Christian.

Atheists, Muslims-- guys, I'm sorry. You guys aren't too... spirit-y, so it seems you've been left out of this question. I'll try to make a question just for you guys. I'm so sorry.

For the rest of you, with Spirit Guides!

Your Religion:

Your Spirit Guide's Name: (NOTE: I realize some Spirit Guides are NOT okay with their names being released, and that's fine, just say that if anything.)

Your Spirit Guide's Form/Significance: (animal specie, saint, human, God, Goddess, demon, angel, fae, elemental, etc.)

Preaching will be thumbs down'd. You have been warned.

Note to self: Don't type half awake.

Muslims are plenty spirity. I forgot you guys have angels too. Go for it. I guess the apology is really only for Atheists.

My apology to the Muslims is that I mistyped that part of my question -- I'm eternally sorry.

You know, spirit guides are a really interesting concept to me. The way I've been taught, I'm supposed to think that a spirit guide is a demon, but, honestly, I don't think it is.

As far as I can understand, a spirit guide can be anything. It can be a saint, an imaginary creature, a demon, or even a real person who helps you every day without realizing it.

And, if I'm any right at all, then I can honestly consider Davey Havok a spirit guide of sorts. That sounds so ridiculous and fan-obsessive, but I think it's true. He is just like me in any way I could find. He encourages me to live and just be myself. He helps me through everyday life, and he's there when no one else is. And, last of all he helped me to find what this world really means, and the meaning of life and all that jazz.

Is that what a spirit guide does?

P.S. I'm Christian, but if I'm going to hell for this, then my religion isn't worth jack.

I am Christian so, of course, my first answer was going to be God, Jesus, or a Biblical person.

However, I have an open-mind. I am still learning but right now I would have to say the Greek goddess Diana/Artemis...she sort of portrays mother earth's protector and American Indians because they live/lived in such harmony with nature.

Your spirit guides are usually ancestors passed over. But sometimes it is a lost or forgotten soul that likes you and wants to keep you from harm. You tend to pick them up when you go to cemetery to visit one of your relatives and you see a grave that no one ever visits so you leave them a flower or fruit or something meaningful to you. Even in the after life please, thank you or a loving jester go a long way.

I believe that god sends his angels to those he feels worthy of his time and attention. Sometimes in a dream he uses the image of an animal to talk to us.

If your spirit guide is not the indwelling Holy Spirit then it is a demon - whatever name you give it.
