Sould I Play hard to get?

I am 13 and I really have feelings for this guy named Bobby. We flirt alot, but he goes to a different school. I know I like him and I know he likes me. When he did not ask me out after a couple of weeks I called him to see where we were at. He tlod me that he really liked me but he did not want a girlfriend right now. I told him that I saw him as boyfriend material and I asked him what he thought of me and he said that he really liked me alot and that i was in between a friend and a girlfriend. And that he wanted to get to know me better so are relationship would last and so i want to know if I should play hard to get becuase I don't want his feelings for me to leave him. I know some may think I am to young but I know what I want in life. i really have feelings for him and it feels like he is the one playin hard to get. What should I do becuase I really care for him. Also how do you play hard to get????
