First of all, im not gay. And no, i really dont care if you think i am for asking this. But it seems like homosexuality/bisexuality has been a big topic lately. Some people are more open to it and others not so much. The people who say they are against it, most of them are only against it because they say its a sin. Besides that, do you really have any reasons for being against it? Then you have your homophobes that say anything sexual with gays/bis is disgusting. Which is funny seeing as how they think two guys is gross, but two hot girls doing sexual things are amazing, and watch lesbian porn but yet are against it? hm.

So what are your reasons for being for or against it? I want real reasons. Dont say its a sin because you have to have other reasons. If you think its a choice, ok some people choose it yes but they just get fed up with being treated like crap so they go onto the other sex. i doubt someone would choose to be called a queer their whole life.

So lets here your answers

I'm neither for nor against homosexuality/bisexuality.
Neither of those situations affect me.

I'm heterosexual, and I feel that all people deserve the right to marry the consenting adult(s) they choose to, whether of the same gender(s) or the opposite gender(s).

I don't judge people for what they can't help. I have always believed you don't choose you're sexuality anyway. If everyone was all the same it would be a boring world so celebrate our differences rather than condem others for what they can't/shouldn't want to change. Also all of those who say God greated Adam and Eve and not Adam and Steve pleeeese get another quote as that is sooo over used. To all of those who say having sex is only for making babies therefore gay men shouldn't be having sex cos of that reason...come on. How over populated would the world be if every time you had sex you had a baby. Sex is for release and enjoyment most of the time anyway. If God hadnt wanted men to have sex why create him with an in built pleasure button back there? That's the G-spot for the uninformed. Do all those who think sex between a woman and man is all good and proper...is it a sin for a man to have anal sex with his wife?

I'm for being with it. I'm straight though..
Why? Because I think it's incredibly stupid people are judging homosexuals they're numerous reasons for that being mostly they can be because of religion or just some people aren't use to seeing that so they don't think it's "appropriate", but honestly what IS appropriate now a days? It's inappropriate because its not the correct manner we are use to seeing everyday couples being male and female. Well people need to get a heads up and realize welcome to EARTH where people are much more diverse then what they use to be, and honestly it's not THEIR problem about somebodys sexuality. People act like homosexuality is a joke, like someone just CHOOSES like men, or women. (However, hands down I think bisexuality is chosen). I wouldn't really understand though, if you are born liking the same sex theres nothing you can do about it.

I hate when people make a big deal over it,
Let people live the way they want.

I wouldn't say its a matter of being for or against. You make it sound like a choice thats made along with your favourite TV show.

It is a huge topic because society is changing right now and many people who are frightened of change are hanging on to outdated belief systems to justify themselves.

I can understand the confusion when there are different parts of the Church of England arguing amongst themselves to the point of splitting the Church into factions because they cannot agree that God made Man to use free choice. They also cannot accept that being gay is a matter of genetics, not something you choose. No one in their right mind would choose the abuse that is an everyday experience for gay people to the point where people have been kicked to death because of their sexuality.

If it is correct that homosexuality is evil, then the 'perpetrators' will go to HELL, their choice. On the other hand, if we are all made in God's likeness, then we will all join him in everlasting life.

I have noticed that all religions that condemn homosexuality do so based on the earliest of their teachings and ignore later texts. Christians will look to the Old Testament to justify their message of hate when St John's Gospel Chap 5 has a different take. (I think, but then I would)

Here are my thoughts on homosexuality. They have nothing to do with the Bible (even though the Bible does actually condemn homosexuality, contrary to popular belief):

A homosexual relationship lacks the asymmetries of a man and woman - asymmetries in physicality and in personality that help them to bond with each other fully. I can’t see how a relationship without those asymmetries should be called equally valid. Neither should it be considered equally moral; if gay people can’t bond in the same way, then their way of having sex objectifies the other person more than heterosexual sex.

To say that the design of men and woman is trivial and meaningless is degrading to all of us. To say that a more degrading behavior is the same as normal sex sets and the most anyone should desire is hateful to everyone in the world. Pushing for that kind of equality is not loving; it’s hating everybody equally.

I'll assume you're talking about gay marriage.

I couldn't care less if gays wanted to marry. But I certainly don't want to stop them from doing it. Saying that gay marriage is wrong is like saying that two people who love each other shouldn't be allowed to share the benefits of a heterosexual marriage.

Also, many people say it's nasty and unnatural (the sexual part, I assume). But lets face it, homosexuals are still going to have sex whether they're married or not, so there's no point in banning gay marriage for that reason.

I'm neither for or against any type of sexuality - mine is mine and other people's sexuality is theirs.

It's like asking me if I'm for left-handedness, right-handedness or ambidexterity.
It's like asking me if I'm for Dark hair, Blond hair or Red hair.
Who give a damn?

The only time I care is when some sanctimonious wanker tells me HIS version of sexuality or handedness or hair colour is the only correct one and everyone else is wrong.

USians really do have a preoccupation about what other people do in their bedrooms and who they do it with - they are the ultimate voyeur.
Maybe that why more porn is made and watched by USians than anyone else.

So far as being gay goes I know I NEVER made a choice at any time in my life that I liked chicks better than guys.

I have nothing against it.
I love the gays.

Hey dude a few answers above me, I thumbed ya down. Your answer was not logical at all. You are jumping to ridiculous conclusions about natural selection and the "gay gene". That's why, not because you knocked gays. Humans have known the method of procreation for some time. People have been choosing breeding partners who were not necessarily their choice of lover for ...probably ever. The urge to parent is not married to the urge to get laid or even the urge to have a certain mate. It is a tad more complicated than that. We aren't goldfish. Evolution does not have an agenda. Don't guess at something and call it science.

okay first off im sure you've probably heard it a million times but. God didn't create Adam and Steve he created Adam and Eve...
it says that the sexually impure will not inherit the kingdom of God. it also says in Leviticus 18:22-23 "You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination." referring to men not laying with men...also in Hebrew 13:4 "Let marriage be honorable among all, and the marriage bed be without defilement, for God will judge fornicators and adulterers."
being gay/lesbian/bi is considered a defilement to God. its a sin!!
Genesis 1:28 " and God blessed them, and told them be fruitful and multiply" now tell me how two girls or two guys are going to multiply(without getting a sperm donor or whatever?!?!)

but it doesnt say that God hates whoever is a homosexual, he just hates the sin of homosexuality. which is no more wrong or less wrong than any other sin....so if you are gay and go sleep with a guy are whatever then its just as if youve went and killed someone....so go figure...

You should be president!!!

Look, the truth people put down and are scared of what they cannot understand. Also some poeple do it because of society and customs. Like hanging a confederate flag in your car. Do you really in 2008 still hold that ideal? how ignorant do you have to be in order to believe that idea was/ is good? Because daddy did it.
I am bi. I was a devout catholic until I saw through religion. people believe what they want to believe. Religion brainwashes and supports ideals in order to keep people coming on sundays so that they can give money. it does have its purposes and advantages but the truth is an excuse to play ignorant.
We don't chose it. I don't love being called a dike and being shunned from my family. and if you knew the bible and could interpret it you would be God. In the bible as far as normal intelligent people and knot blind sheep know there is nothing against homosexuality. New editions have been made to include it. Also masturbation. It was a new sin introduced by monks and Thomas de Aquino. The religion aspect of it is unfounded.
