My family had suspicions, so i took an online test (I'm not judging just by that.) I got a very high score on the test. It said severe depression.
I havn't been to the doctors yet.
Should I be going to school? What's making me depressed is that my mum is getting into trouble because I can't seem to get up for school and she's on her last warning before court. So the circle keeps going round. I feel helpless.

get help sweetie. Depression is a physical illness that can certainly be treated. Should you be going to school? Of course. It's the law for one reason. Also life goes on, and missing out on school is no way to make your future brighter. Getting out and doing your best is one way to treat depression, but you gotta see a doc SOON too. Maybe you aren't just depressed -- you could have mononucleosis, thyroid problems - all sorts of other things

depression is NOT an excuse to miss school, or work, or anything, unless you are so severely depressed that you cannot function.

A test in a magazine -- or an advertisement for a certain drug -- is not a diagnosis.

You're depressed because your mom is upset because you are missing school, so you want to miss more school? Glad to hear you are so concerned with your mother's problem.

Quit looking for excuses and go to school. Then your mom won't be making you depressed, will she?

You should definately go to school. Not going will only make things worse because you'll not only sit around and get more depressed, but you'll also add to your problems by falling behind in your school work. Your grades will drop and you'll risk failing your classes which will just multiply your problems. Not only that but you can get into trouble if you get caught.
Don't skip school but consider going to your doctor to get a referral to a professional counselor who can help you.

I would try to go to school unless you physical can't. There have been a few times when I was in high school where I was so tired that I was physically unable to move. Spending three days in bed without showering or eating isn't fun. Until you are at that point, you should go.

You should go see your doctor. They will ask you different questions to see if you are really depressed or if you are just expriencing anxiety. In my case, I just had anxiety and I am now taking Lexapro. I feel 100% better. You should also talk to a consulor, they may be able to help you as well. Good Luck.

First of all you need to see your doctor to determine whats going on with you, secondly, keep going to school, it'll keep your mind busy and you doing something is a good way to help your self. Sitting at home will make it much worse, they say to me that I'm sitting in my own sh-t when I don't go out.. I'm also in intense therapy for all this...Good Luck

Missing school isn't likely going to help. It's one more thing to stress out about. Regardless, go see that doctor right away! No sense hanging around here getting advice from retards when there are professionals out there who can really help you. You can get better. Good luck!
