Maybe deep down inside he's not all the bad, just frustrated -- a bit of wild child etc.

Satan isn't evil. He's just misunderstood.
Sure it says in the Bible that Satan is bad, but remember who supposedly wrote it: the jealous and egotistical God. How unbiased do you really think it would be?

Satan is bad and wicked and evil down to the core and past that.
I am not and no one should ever make Satan out to be somewhat good.
He is a liar a pig a snake a worm a heartless fiend He is a monster and wants you and everyone in Hell
He does not give a poop about you me or anyone.

This is the New Age philosophy that everyone has some good in them or a little bit of the divine in them. Rubbish - the Bible makes it clear that we are dead in sin, desperately wicked and full of evil - so I don't think we have any idea just how evil Satan is.

Satan is a christian "character" in their fairytale book. So, I don't know the answer....I suppose we could ask the same thing about santa claus and the easter bunny.

If god supposedly created him...wouldn't he *have* to have some good in him? Can something born of pure good, be pure evil?
Is good a recessant gene?

Nice guy. He was like Prometheus giving fire to ancient man. According to the Bible, he sought to sever us from the tyrannical God, and God was vengeful of him, sent him to an eternal torture for saving man.
That's the story, anyway, he never really existed.
