As a child in church I was told that witches and demon lovers practiced getting high, has this incorporated into our modern society with its deviant behaviour patterns?

Unless one is possessed by a demon there is no need to be delivered. If a person is a born again Christian then they can count on God to only allow as much demonic harassment as God knows that they are mature enough to handle. He allows it because He uses it to test a person's faith and make them stronger.
1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

Any Addiction has a demon attached to it; A Person can allow demon to have access to Him ,# 1 by what a Person says or does;#2
It can be thru Drugs-Porn-Gamming, whatever is Contrary to the Word of God; If You are a Believer
in Jesus Christ , You need Scripture that fits Your Need; This is it; When demon is controlling You;
Speak 'It is written Jesus has Delivered me, by
His Blood,Satan you have no control over me,because Jesus defeated you on the Cross;
Sin has no Dominion over me ,I am Free;because Jesus bore My Sins, God sees me thru Jesus and all God Sees is my Position in Christ;
If You are not a Believer ,You need to ask God for Forgivness; Does the place You attend Church,Believe in Prayer for Possesd - Opressed -Sick People,If not get out of that Dead Church and attend Assyembly Of God or Pentecostal-- Their will be some Spirit Filled Believers that will Pray and Lay Hands on You;

I don't know there can be a spirit of sorcery attached depending on how involved you got. There is no recipe ask the Holy Spirit to guide you.
