No, not if he cut the card up. That was crazy, seeing that they might trace it back to him. Major uh-oh, The police might be contacting him, sucks to be him. Thats like idenity theft, never, never do that.

Yes, this is stupid. The real card holder will report the card lost and the bank will take the charge off of the account. They will probably just charge it back to the porn site who will eat the loss and drop it as not worth bothering about. But if the porn site or the bank wants to make an issue out of it, they can subpoena the porn site's log files and get the IP address that sent in the charge and then subpoena the records of the ISP that owns the IP address and find out what customer was using that IP address at that time.

First off, what your friend did is fraud and is a felony. That said, it was only used once (for what I'm assuming is a small amount), so it's unlikely anyone will come after you. It was pretty stupid, however, to use it for an Internet porn site, since the purchase can be traced back to the computer from which it was made via the IP address.

Your friend is SCREWED. When the owner of the card gets the bill and sees the charge, he'll dispute it. Depending on how agressive the credit card co. gets to get reimbursed, they will contact the billing co. for the porn site which will be able to track the i.p. address of the computer he was using when used the card.

The best chance would be to never log onto the internet from that computer again, and leave the house that that computer is in permanently without leaving any trace of where to find him. The best idea would be to have everyone who lives in the house move away immediately.

Unless the internet connection is in his name, then there is no hope - just deal with it.

Well your friend will be spending many nights in jail. That is probably the easiest thing to trace since his computer has an IP address they will trace the charge to. Your friend was really dumb.
