There are 32 teeth in the adult dentition:
Starting with your upper right wisdom tooth, which is tooth #1, go to the upper left wisdom tooth, which is tooth # 16, then drop down to your lower left wisdom tooth, which is tooth #17, then go to your lower right wisdom tooth, which is tooth # 32...
Tooth #19 would be your six-year molar on your lower left side... or the sixth tooth back from the front..

Theeth are numbered 1-32 starting on the top right number 1 is your wisdom tooth so don't for get to count it even if it has NOT come in yet. you count across the topn to number 16 ( another wisdom tooth) Then under number 16 id 17 so count from 17 to 32 from left to right on the bottom not for getting your wisdom teeth. If you want to know where number 19 is it is your first molar on you bottom left side. This is a rough idea

Patients upper right wisdom tooth is 1 numbered consecutively across the top to the left wisdom tooth number 16
bottom jaw on left wisdom tooth is number 17 then consecutively across the bottom jaw to the right wisdom tooth number 32
