we bought petite toast (for spreadable cheese) and we ate it with our chilli, well it taisted funny, so i look at the experation date....it expired in june of 2006!!! all night long my tummy was upset, and even today i have the runs (eeew i know!) well what can i do? can i get a settlement?

If you can prove you bought it, I'd say go for it!

But since you can't even decide what the actual date was on the product, I'd say give it up.

The best thng to do is to go to the store and alert management to check their shelves more often for expiration.They technically should give you a refund..keep the packaging and show them. Help prevent other people from becoming sick. Shop at another store and always check expiration in the future. :D

well you definatly can return it considering not only is it within safeways policy to accept returns anyhting expired shouldnt have been sold in the first place (by policy not law as experation dates arent leagally required except on pet food and baby forumula) they would have to accept it with a refund

I would take the packet back to the Store and ask for a refund ,but you need Your sales docket for it .Another advise is ,automatically always check the use by date before you buy something .

You have to take it and the receipt back and tell them and demand satisfaction. If you missed work be sure and tell them you want to be compensated.

I would take it back to the store for a new one.. I wouldn't get sue -crazy over it though...

Return it, they are usually pretty good about that. Just make sure you have your receipt.
