i graduated USMC bootcamp in 2003 and people were definitley not allowed to send anything but letter mail. but if you want, you can send it and hear about all the stories from your husband about what the drill instructors did to him, or lets say didnt do to him. i would definitley suggest on not sending anything but letter mail. bootcamp has not shanged that much since the old corps.

Please don't tell me that the MCRD is now softer than the Army BCT I went through just five years ago. We couldn't have powerbars or candy, and the only books we could read were our manuals and an official religious text.

Unless the rules have changed since I went into boot camp he will not be allowed to recieve that type of mail.

You can send candy now?

Good god what has become of the USMC?

Save your postage. He doesn't have time to read regular books. The only thing he's reading right now would be his "knowledge" lol. P.S. If he's in remedial PT, DO NOT send him snacks! Also, send enough for his whole platoon. They are all in it together.
