What alternatives did we then have, and, for that matter, who else is there to replace the present Labour Government? Politically, we are limp and impotent.

We are no longer a proud, patriotic and united nation but a big crowd of nondesript people. The door is open for an extremist patriot to be welcomed as a leader and to take over. It has happened in other countries so why not here? If we don't deserve democracy we will lose it.

Well after Thatcher and Co any alternative looked good ,which it did ,for 3 weeks ,then the old saying which my septagenarian neighbour told me came into play ..which was
and I quote "the bastads are all the same "..The NEW labour party seems to be even worse though ,you might have got **** pay (if you even had a job up T `north ) but at least(the CONNIE party they were not giving away the council houses to the 3rd world ..
I believe Abu hamza`s son sold their council house for several hundred thousand pounds ...

These New Labour leaders should be impeached ,and then impaled ,at traitors gate .

There will never be a Government in the UK that will look after the British People anymore, they are only interested in bringing in as many immigrants as possible to boost the economy, so they think, but they ignore how many of them take the piss out of the laxed free benefit system that you cant get anywhere else in the World, (more fool us) But the UK pensioners struggle to live on their pensions, heating etc and some served in the 2nd world war.
We will never again see what used to be called Great Britain. God Bless England, RIP.

Of course, they didn't vote new Labour - only 1 in 3 of those who voted did so. But on the one hand the voting system is neatly rigged, and on the other the 3 in 10 who voted Tory voted for the exact same things as Labour were offering - illegal wars, bar-coding of all citizens, and so forth.

I voted for Blair in 1997 and I was happy with that, but by the time of the second election I voted for the Monster Raving Loony Party (who is looniest though?).
I really couldn't have voted Tory though and I warn people not to be sucked into the idea that they will do better this time. England needs to get out of that Labout-Tory Tory-Labour musical chairs dance.

Unfortunately, dispite everthing, they were a better choice than the tories.

If a politicians line is only opaque to those too stupid to believe it who is doing the misleading- the politician or the masses themselves by being too thick to understand what they're being told?

The Tories were doing a sterling job of driving the country to the shitter, quite frankly any alternative was worth a shot.

I genuinely don't get it. Why have we signed our death warrants? Why is new labour encouraging non-racists to vote BNP?
Is this about Iraq?
