Massaging your infant can help in producing endorphins, releasing oxytocin, boosting the immune system, blood circulation, relaxes the baby and much more.
There is nothing wrong with massaging the baby, in fact as I mentioned above it is good for the baby! You can read more about baby massages including how to massage the baby in the link below.

In Myotherapy, they talk about releasing toxins from trigger points. Assuming it is true, I don't believe it would be bothering your daughter if she asks you to massage her.
As long as the child asks for it, it is okay. My daughter loves it when I gently write the alphabet on her back with my fingertip (I just barely touch her skin). You should try it, it's educational and relaxing! When she gets older, I'll quiz her about what letter she feels me drawing. My sister and I used to do this with whole words and simple pictures, it's fun!

it does if your muscles are really tight and cramped up. when the toxins are released via massage you can feel nauseas, and sometimes the muscle swells up. this actually happened to me last week. it doesn't usually happen to children, because you only give them soft relaxing massages, not strong massages to releive aching muscles. i say, keep massaging your child as it relaxes them and also helps to keep them happy.

My son loves back massages as well. There's nothing wrong with giving them to your daughter. It'll help her relax, and it's great bonding time.

My daughter enjoys back massages too. I've been giving her massages since birth. Nothing strong, just a nice rub. Now, she'll lay down next to me and say "Mama, back," and grab my hand and put it on her back. It's so cute!

I see nothing wrong with it either. My son likes to sit with me when he is calm and winding down and I rub his head and hair. He loves it.
