I don't have bad Asthma and I'm in high school and was planning on a job in the air force after i graduate. But then i heard that i couldn't join in any kinda way. If i had it. And i only have attacks when i don't take my inhaler before i run so if i take it i will have no problem!

If you need an inhaler you not physically qualified to join any branch of the military.

You would have to be checked and waivered by MEPS. The ATC job isn't the big issue, its more of the Basic Military Training that they're worried about. Two people have gone off to BMT without knowing they had asthma and died. :/

I believe they will take you as long as their Doctors approve you at MEPS. They are the only ones that can tell you. Also don't hesitate to ask a recruiter. The Airforce is very good at answering questions. If you go to their website they have an online chat where you can talk to an Airforce recruiter online.
