Nothing worth having comes fast or easy...
fat loss is hard work
find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 400-600cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day (have lots of veggies to eat in between meals if you are still hungry)
8 glasses of water -carry bottle of water with you and when you feel hungry drink it - we often confuse hunger with thirst (our bodies confuse it)
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio is the only fat burning exercise and burns fat all over your body (running, jogging, swimming, spinning, elliptical etc) 4-6 times a week for average of 45min, light weight training a few times a week (more muscle=faster metabolism)
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, pasta etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, ice cream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
of course you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

I was in the same boat (5'1, weighing 140 pounds). Although people thought my shape was perfect... I was determined to lose 20 pounds. I've lost 15, so far!
Anyway, here's what I have done.

#1 Cut out soda and snacks. When I do have a snack it's usually raisins or a granola bar or some wheat thins. If I go out to eat, I have diet soda with my meal.
#2 Always eat breakfast. It gives you energy for the rest of the day but it's also best to eat any sugar in the morning so you can burn it off during the day.
#3 Cut back on portions. Sometimes our eyes are bigger then our belly and we take a lot more of a portion than suggested.
#4 Lift weights. They don't have to be heavy. I use 2 pound weights and exercise with them.
You don't have to go outside or to a gym to exercise right. I run up and down my stairs, do crunches, arm exercises with the weights, lay on my back and use my legs in a circular motion (as if i'm riding on a bike) and you can feel that it's working.
Also, just dancing around to your favorite songs burns off calories as long as you are moving around. You can just shake your body and it's burning calories and is also fun.
#5 Substitue your sugary drinks like iced tea and fruit punch for water. I drink at least 4 glasses a day although the suggested amount is 8 glasses.. but I just don't drink a lot during the day to begin with.
#6 Be strict with yourself, don't eat anything after 7pm. It will sit in your stomach while you're sleeping.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.

I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.

It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

Get started today!

Diet pills are a waste of money.

Do cardio 4-5 times a week, 30-45 mins per session.

Mix in weights 2-4 times a week.

Eat well. 4-5 small meals per day spaced out to enhance and wake up your metabolism.

Nothing is a quick fix. It takes time to lose weight but if you have the willpower to get in the gym and most importantly eat well, it can be done rather easily

Eat! im not kidding...throughout the day eat. But make sure what you eat is smaller quantities, no big meals. If you keep eating a little bit throughout the day constantly, your metabolism will keep going and keep burning what you eat. Of course eat fruits and veggies, but you can eat many other things...in my grocery store , in each aisle there is a health section of whatever that aisle has. Try to stay away from anything with "partially hydrogentated soybean oil". Another thing that you can do is constantly drink water...it helps, just keep a water bottle with you throughout the day and drink out of it. Also Try not to eat after 9pm because your body metabolism starts to slow down and so it wont process or burn the calories you eat. Start running, swimming, or biking. Eveyday do somekind of activity and slowly increase the amount of time you work out. Ideally, work out at least 30 minutes a day...what also helps is lifting, go to the weighroom or gym and that extra weight will become muscle. Im not saying to not hang out with your friends if theyre over weight, but it has been researched and proven that hanging out with heavier people is "contagious" and causes the people around them to gain weight. Think about it...they bring more to lunch, and have enough for other, they bring temptations to other people. so if you have lunch or something with heavy people that arent your friends...try sitting somewhere else or the other side of the table with other friends..if they are your friends then help them out too and bring veggies and stuff to share ^_^

Hey, I'm 5'3 and i'm 139 lbs. My diet plan is, to eat smaller portions when you are eating. (I was on a medicine for seizures, that made me gain 11 lbs in a month) They took me off it though. I lost the weight when I began taking my seizure medicine. It was an appetite supressent also. I began to eat less, and maintain my weight. However, In August I was taken off it. My weight has been okay, But I'm eating smaller portions, and It truly helps.

The best way to loose weight fast is to drink a lot of water, look at yourself in the mirror and be happy with your body. The rest will fall into place.
