He knows he's going to get sentenced to jail time, so he's just getting a jump on it. It'll be credited to him as "time served" and, yes, they'll probably go easier on him since he's basically saying, "I deserve it".

Michael vick is a loser. Anybody that would treat any living thing the way he did deserves to be punished to the fullest extent of the law! I don't care how great of a football player he ever was, he is a cruel man. Do you know how dogs are treated in order to be mean enough to fight? Its heart breaking!! Especially the way he just murdered the animals when they were of no more use to him.
Unfortunately the government doesn't think dog fighting is as bad as other things. Even when its a huge ring like Vick was involved in. I personally hope he suffers for the rest of his life in some way shape or form for all the pain he caused those innocent animals. Only a sick SOB would treat any living thing like that. Who cares if its a good move for him? who gives a **** about Vick anyway? Only those other cruel and ignorant people who think its ok to fight dogs. Those bunch of Losers.........

~~For the comment below me......I dont agree with hunting either. I believe it would be more fair if the deer also had a gun. Also, deer are usually not refered to as "mans best friend" nor are they killed by electrocution or other cruel ways.

Just out of curiosity, and thinking outside the box, MV killed 6 dogs, and I wonder how that is different than hunters killing 6 deer (don't forget, the "hunters" are using high powered rifles that can shoot 1/4 of a mile, complete with a scope that measures wind speed and other factors, so they really are only target shooting ).

Both planned to kill an animal, both call it "sport", both used inhumane methods to do it, and neither needed the kill in order to eat (okay some hunters eat the kill, but it is not as if they had to kill it to eat ).

I hope they throw the book at him. He's sorry about what has happened with him only because he got caught. He still has that ghetto mindset. I have absolutely no respect for the man, no matter how many times he says he's sorry.

Well he did what he was supposed to do, that is better then fleeing. Yes, he needs to face his sentence.

If you kill an animal for food, and in a humane manner then I understand and respect that. To kill for fun, money, greed and sport is a disgusting act. Respect all life. ;)

I hope it means he will get his butt handed to him. Vick knows what the public wants to hear, now all they need to do is beat his butt

It wont affect the proceedings at all.

It only means they (the U.S. Marshals) don't have to come looking for him in order to arrest him.

Its most likely what he is hoping for a lighter sentence and depending on the judge he may get it.I have mixed feelings about this whole thing anyway.Everyone makes mistakes and i hope they go light on him but i also hope he learns a lesson.

I think they should throw him into the middle of his dog ring & let them tear him up.
