but we are having a hard time deciding between the Wii and PS2... I was wondering which one would be better and why? Thanks!

for a 7 year old i would go with the wii
more of the games for the wii are more targeted for children his age

Even though I'm a Sony gamer and I have all of the Playstation consoles, I really think that the Wii would be the better choice. The Wii has more child friendly games and has more interactive gameplay.
But there are a lot of rated "E" video games for the PS2, but I recommend the Wii.

my son has every system ecept the PS3 ansd i would have to say the Wii.
You can go to most Target or Walmart stores and they have them on display to try. The amount of games for kids is better than any other system. All you need comes with it and to be frank Nintendo is the best and very very rarly if ever have any trouble with the systems. Also the cost of the games are less and here in Florida out local Blockbuster has agreat selection of game. Finally it is great for the family to play, we do bowling, tennis and gold at least one a week as a family.

i have the ps3 ps2 and the wii, even though i love the ps3 i would have to say the wii is the best choice for a seven year old, i bought mine for my lil brother and he loves it the move and make them interact instead on sitting on the couch with a controller. the wii is the best choice

You should get a PS2 for your 7-year-old son because it is cheaper and the game play/graphics are very good.

for a 7 yr. old i would recommend a wii because it has more kid friendly game.... it will also improve his hand eye coordination as it is more interactive than any other system out there....

wii, all that built up energy in a 7 year old will come out, just make sure he doesnt break any windows

hi maybe ps2 becuse is good and they are good games out for it and for his Age and can play some ps1 games
