i need a new battery for my car but i just wanted to know if theres a specific type of battery anyone would recommend other than the factory parts one?

Get a BXT-max Motorcraft battery from the dealer. They got a 36 month free replacement and a 100 month pro-rated warranty.... Plus free towing if anything happends to that battery during that period.

look on the battery you will see a group number. This is all you need to know. more cold cranking amps only help when it is below 32F. look at the group number like group 75. Try interstate they are real reliable, stay away from the wally world champions as they are made to minimum specs. look in the phone book for a wholesale battery dealer, they deal in blemished batteries with full warranty, and you can get just about any brand you want, cheap...

The other guy is correct in my opinion. Get as many cold cranking amps as possible. To be honest all the batteries sold in the US are made by like 3 manufacturers. Other stores just put their own name on them.

strange that you need a new battery on a 05 already, is the charging system ok?

what ever brand you decide on get one with high cold cranking amps. at least one with 700 amps but the more the better. they will be a little more expensive but well worth when its cold outside.

Anything but a Die Hard. Those are junk. 650 to 850 cca will do well. for you.
