Mr. Carter is a lifelong member of the Baptist church as was his family.
Carter is widely regarded as the first openly Born Again president, and perhaps the most Evangelical president in U.S. history. He is an active Sunday School teacher and has written inspirational Christian books.
Carter attended First Baptist Church in Washington D.C. while he was President.
Carter is considered by most historians to be the first formally Evangelical/self-declared Born Again president. Carter was long associated with the Southern Baptist Convention, and was a Southern Baptist while in office. Although he remained a devout Baptist, he renounced his association with the Southern Baptist Convention in October 2000.
He renounced his membership in the Southern Baptists when, in 2000, the Convention ordered some changes he couldn't abide by. One of the WORST changes was the declaration that women had to be submissive to their husbands.
Even a true, holy Christian can only put up with so much.
He still teaches Sunday school at his church.

Jimmy Carter is a Southern Baptist, not a Catholic.
He also happens to be one of the only truly religious people that I have any respect for. He walks the talk.

Jimmy Carter is still a Babtist. He belongs to the Maranatha Babtist church where he teaches Sunday school about 40 Sundays a year. The only time he misses is when he is traveling the world helping to wipe out disease, build homes for the poor, or helping oversee democratic elections in third world countries. Ministers, Priests, Rabbi's and others come from all over the world to hear him teach Sunday school. And he doesn't do it for show. He does it because he is a true Christian.

He isn't Catholic, silly. He's Southern Baptist. He has done a lot to demonstrate his Christian beliefs. I'm a Republican and even I can admit that. He's a Sunday School teacher, he is constantly working with Habitat for Humanity, I'm not sure what else he has to do to "demonstrate" it for you or why he has to do anything at all.

Jimmy Carter is a humanist. Look up the "humanist manifesto" on the web if you do not know what this is. He only uses a form of bland Christian teaching as sheep's clothing to disguise the globalist anti-Christ wolf agenda he really stands for.
