going to college?

Question

so i'm going to college soon, and i want an apartment and such, which is about 2,000 for the location, i also need things like food and clothes and things. what would be a good job that i could easily get that would pay well. i've never had a job before, so i'm not exactly sure about everything yet.
so here are my biggest concerns:

-is $14/hr a lot to pay an 18 year old? (yes, i do know it depends on the job...that's my next question)
-what type of job would be good for a full time student to make 12-14/hr?

you should know:
-i'm up for anything
-i can do simple things like answering phones and such, i've got some experience.
-i'm a liscensed babysitter.
-i worked at my parents restaurant for 5 years, so i'm very skilled at waitressing
-i'm willing to do pretty much anything (i.e. hooters, strip club)
-i'm going to live alone

thank you in advance for all of your answers. i really appreciate it. i wish i hadn't made the mistake of waiting to figure this all out at 18.

Your best chance of making $14 an hour is probably as a waitress in a nice restaurant where tips are good.

But even at $14 an hour, and working full time, you aren't going to have enough to pay for a $2000 a month apartment, let alone have anything left for other expenses. Wanting an apartment where you live alone and being able to have one are two very different things. You probably need either a dorm room or an apartment shared with a few other people.

Waitress would probably be a good one. Are you sure you want to live alone? You might want to live in the dorm for one year to make friends with people. I didn't live in the dorms and felt pretty much like an outsider the whole time because my school was so huge. Try to concentrate on doing well in school and know what you want to study.
