Lately all the shows I watch it seems like the camera is stuck on either the actor's noses or just really close shots of their faces. It's very annoying. What's worse is they are moving the camera so fast you can't tell what is going on. I've seen some BAD home movies that look better than these TV shows. Is it just me? Who can I complain to? I am getting seasick and this "new type of camera work" is the worst thing I've ever seen.
Another annoyance I've noticed, is why do all the shows look so dark, almost like black netting has been thrown over the camera. Whatever happened to the "true color" we used to see ?
I am glad we have the TV LAND cable station. I keep running back to old movies and old TV shows just keep my balance and remember what TV used to look like !!!!

Thanks to the hand held style of smaller cameras, anything is possible, I do find this type of filming annoying. A good example of this can be found on The Weather Channel's Nature's Fury.

I can't say that I've noticed the jerky movements or the up close camera shots, but the darkness I have noticed. Sometimes if there is just one light on in the room it's very difficult to see the screen because it's so dark. The room has to almost be completely dark in order to see the show and know what's going on. It's quite annoying.
