I have been under a lot of stress lately and I don’t think I have been paying enough attention to the girl I like. I get the feeling that we are getting more distant in our friendship. I want to try and save this friendship before it is over.
Now that I feel a ton better I want to know if it is a good idea to give her a hand made card saying “I’m sorry for being so unpleasant to be around lately. I will do my best to be more upbeat and friendly, like I used to be. I feel a lot better and thanks for still talking to me even though I have been such a drag.” Then I want to get her a small cheesy gift attached to the card. (Open to suggestions on a gift.) I want to give her a card but I don’t If will just end up embarrassing both of us and make it awkward between us. I just want to know if I should go ahead and give her the card or just go through the awkwardness and do it in person. (Keep in mind we are still in the friend stage, not boyfriend and girlfriend.)

Hey well I don't think the card is such a good idea if you guys aren't dating! But you could just talk to her after school or something and explain everything to her! But do this in private because if people are around it might give them and her a bad impression like you are trying to have everyone thing you two are dating! So just talk to her when you two are alone. And say exactly what you typed! It sounds good and then who know's maybe after this she'll know that you're nice and kind and gentle and you guys might go out! So the best of luck to you! Bye cherry!

If you want to make up for lost time a card is like the brochure to the Bahamas. Give it to her to map out what you have to offer the situation as stands. Be honest, but do deliver what the card says. Words are just that without action.

well i'm not sure if a card would be the best choice.
I think it would be better to just tell her how you feel in person.
It depends on how much you want to spend on the gift.
