nope, i am a hairdresser and you always color it first, and then cut it because color tends to dry out the hair a little bit, so wouldnt you want to trim the dry ends after you color it? you dont want to trim twice right?

I'm a hair professional and I color first then cut. the only exception would be if they want several inches off. I'd still trim the ends after the color.

my color services include the haircut. if cost is your consideration I'd shop around for someone who does it that way.

as far as hair health/integrity goes, which comes first is not that important. time is the reason for color first-- color goes on dry hair, you wash it out, cut wet hair, style. otherwise you wash twice, dry twice.

the cut then the color
save money in the dye
and sometimes you don't like a certain color with a hair style, so the hair style should be there first

I say dye it, then cut. You might not like the style of cut with the certain color once you see it, and you can always go back and dye it again but you can't go back and cut it again.

Cut it first.
The hair color tends to stick better after the hair has all the dead off of it. Also, longer hair cost more to dye.

Well, professional hairstylists cut then colour. When you cut first, you can see how your hair falls. If you're having it professionally coloured, then you can colour it according to how the cut sits to accentuate your hair features. Like, say you want face-framing hightlights. You cut your hair then see the wisps of your hair that frame your face. Those are the ones you'd want to highlight. If you were to highlight first, you'd be taking a guess as to how the colour would look on the new cut.

You should go for a natural hair color to match your skin tone and personality. Ask your hair stylist for tips and cuts. Maybe you'll find the right cut and color that'll fit you.

I dont think it matters, if you get it cut first then you can dye it then even put streaks in it. but if you dye it first with streaks then get it cut you might get the streaks cut out. And you probley dont want that to happen. So i would go with the cut first.

Have the cut done first. If you are getting it professionally done, it will be cheaper because there is less hair to color/highlight/etc after it has been cut. Also, hair color often depends on the cut itself in the way that it looks. (i.e. if you have highlights it will look extremely different on shoulder length versus chin length hair)
