ok so my mom and i were talking about how we weren't worried about the end of the world until the sun turns red. Is there a part of the Bible that says there will be fighting in the Gaza strip? and if there is doesn't that mean that revelations has started already since there is in fact fighting in the gaz a strip

There has been fighting in Gaza strip for centuries, and the moon is due to turn red. The sun will black out I think. I think Revelations is happening now, but that the events explain a very long period of time. Also there are many intepreations of Revelations as others have said, but I do believe we're in the midst of it. Just hold on to your faith in these tough times.

First, it's REVELATION (singular). No, the Gaza strip is not mentioned (except as the land of the Philistines in the OT). The only geographical location mentioned is the Megiddo Valley and that's clearly symbolic. As for worrying, the whole POINT of Revelation is for Christians NOT to worry. Useful time should not be wasted on contemplating where to stand to get the best viewing seat for the end of the world. It should be spent living as Christ did, caring for the poor, sick, imprisoned, etc. People who try to turn Revelation into an armageddon playbook are not really Christians at all.

They have been fighting, on and off, for centuries in the Gaza strip! Are we living in the end times...the best anyone can say is maybe, maybe not. God didn't reveal the date nor did he reveal enough information for anyone to accurately guess when it might be. He did this for a reason...he wants us (and everyone that came before us and those that may or will come after us) to be ready for it to happen NOW and leave the actual timing up to him!

First, the sun turns black and the moon turns red.
Second, the sun turns black during a solar eclipse, and the moon turns red during a lunar eclipse. These are both relatively common occurrences.
Third, Revelations talks about lots of general fighting, all over. It does mention fighting over the Gaza area, but only in the fact that it is Megiddo. Megiddo is how we get the name Armageddon, which translates to Revelations.

It actually says that persecution for Christians alike will happen before the end of days. They will be murdered and imprisoned and beheaded by many.

I do not understand this obsession with the end of the world. The disciples also thought they were living in the end of days.
"Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia."

revelations is a symbolic story about the roman occupation 2000 years ago, it does not tell of the end times
