i'm starting a small tax business. I'm going to finish my tax classes in december and i need to know what are the best tax softwares to use. thanks for the help.

I have used TaxWise for several years, and it seems to work well. It's the only professional tax software I'm familiar with though, so there might be others that are much better.

Ask your instructor - you might get some good advice there.

I have been using Ultimate Tax past three years. Good support, update frequently and most important accurate. Find it user friendly. Have been very happy with results.

I feel it is best to evaluate what is best for your customers to use. The answer to that is depends....
a. if they already use software it is best they stay with this software.
b.if they do not use anything currently you should find a software that allows them to and you to use a similar application to manage their finances. One I would suggest is Intuit.

you are going to open a tax business after taking tax classes, do you have any experience, are you an enrolled agent or cpa, why would i go to you, do you even know what 1231 property is or what you report on from 4797.
