I like this link from the Danish Space Agency that says the Sun is causing warming on the planet.
From the link: "Changes in the Sun contribute to climate change. Solar activity has been exceptionally high in the 20th century compared to the last 400 years and possibly compared to the past 8,000 years. When solar activity is high, the flux of galactic cosmic rays is reduced due to increased magnetic shielding by the Sun. The cosmic rays may influence Earths climate"
Note that this is a recent quote, not one 30 years old.

Global warming, just like global cooling (the ice ages) is a natural event of nature. We have been in a warming stage for about 10,000 years since the end of the last ice age. Since then the ice sheets that covered Alaska, Canada, and the north/eastern U.S. and parts of Europe have vanished gradually. They are continuing to vanish as you have no doubt heard. The Earth's first couple of billion years had far, far more CO2 then there is now -much more because the Earth was still very hot at that time. There was no life on the planet however at that time. These days humans have been contributing to global warming because some of the CO2 becomes trapped in the atmosphere. I doubt that anything humans could do to slow down global warming would help because the pollution we are causing is nothing compared to the natural forces such as the tilt of the earth's orbit around the sun, the ocean currents, the air currents, etc. These things are huge factors in the changing climate. Don't forget in another 100,000 years there will be another global cooling and eventually the areas that I cited will once again be covered by ice sheets!

First, Global warming is based on a study showing that the earth's temperature raised 6/10ths of a degree in 100 years.
I'm far from being convinced that the temperature measurement devices they had 100 years ago are accurate enough to make the 0.6 degree difference significant.... more than likely just measurement accuracy errors..
Even if that's true, I have a hard time believing that 100 years in the lifetime of a planet estimated to be 4.5 Billion years old (4,500,000,000 years) is large enough of a "sample" to give you an idea of what's really going on, considering that ice ages are generally believed to come and go every 10,000 years or so. If we are 4000 years since the last ice age, the earth is still warming as it recovers for the next 1000 years, then will begin to cool for another 5000 years leading into the next ice age.
Even IF both of the above don't apply, we still can't say for certain that the 0.6 degree change was due to the activities of humans. It may have been a minor fluctuation that would have happenened anyway.
Global Warming is about 99.9% hype and emotion, based on a questionable 0.1% of theory and NO facts.

100 % of the causes of the Global Warming can be blamed to Humans, humans who do not care about the Environment and Ecology. There are numerous ways to combat the Global Warming, one very effective way is the massive tree planting activities. Trees that are huge edible fruit bearing. Now, why edible fruit bearing, the reason is to establish Food Security among the people. The more fruits, the better it shall be for man kind. There is also a need, actually a must to propose stiffer penalties for those Environmental Laws and helping the Environment and Ecology by being a volunteer in its guarding and protection. We must all be protectionists of Environment and Ecology. Report to the proper authorities any known violations of Environmental Laws. Engage in the Re - Forestation Drive, verily, there is a need, actually a must to bring back the long gone forest and the denuded mountains. More can be taught, if indeed, our priority is the Preservation and Protection to our beloved Environment and Ecology.

I am certain the Earth has warmed a little, as it has many times before. I'm also certain man is responsible for a small amount of the warming. The burning of carbon based fuels alone causes direct heating of the atmosphere and the small amount of CO2 that man is responsible for as well as the naturally occurring, causes heat to scatter in the atmosphere there by slowing, but not preventing its escape out into space.
CO2 is a naturally occurring gas. It has one carbon atom and two oxygen atoms. Molecules that have three or more atoms absorb heat and re-emit it in all directions. Water vapor also has three atoms. Water vapor accounts for about 70% of the greenhouse effect depending on how much there is in the clear atmosphere and in the clouds.
There are a number of studies that show cloud cover varies inversely with solar activity. The sun has been more active in the past 7 decades than it has been in the last 8000 years and more of the sun's heat is warming the oceans due to decreased cloud cover. A warming Earth causes evaporation and greatly increases water vapor. The ocean currents move the heat all over the world and can take decades to cool, through the process of evaporation.
NASA's solar scientists are predicting a weakening of solar activity and I believe the climate will respond by cooling if that happens.

Personally, I believe we, the world population, is being a bit big-headed and self important if we consider ourselves to be the cause of global warming...Everything occurs in cycles, and this is just another natural cycle our planet is going through... Not the first, and CERTAINLY not the last... History has shown us that natural fluctuations are happening now, have happened in the past, and will continue to contribute to climatic fluctuations in the future... I am not saying that I do not believe we may have CONTRIBUTED to the current situation, but I certainly believe that cow flatulation and termites have contributed probably as much as pollution... There have always been doomsdayers, and they will continue to persist... But I believe that what will be, will be... Regardless of us, humanity as a whole, do or do not do...

I will answer this question based on facts. First you probably already know the answer but it is one of many things that we are doing to our planet. We have caused aserious of effects witch are..... 1. polution 2. cutting of the rain forest 3. Letting Tecnolagy come before humanity. If everyone treated our planet like there new sports car we would not be spending billions of dollars sending people to space to search out other planets to live on. The government knows that we will se an end in our generation and that it has happened many times before. I would like to take this opertunity to introduce to you guys a web site called www.thiaoouba.com. You can get this book free from ebooks. It will forever cange your way of thinking and will put everything into prospective. I found that it all made sence because I was a little girl when I started feeling like there was something missing and it grew as I became older. I am now 30 years of age and would like to try to pass this info on.

Mostly human's with pollution from carbon smokestack's worldwide since the industrial revolution. Arctic weather is not arctic anymore. The air is black, sooty, brownish acidic statle, and moribund. The animal's are stressed like human's from the excessive carbon build up, and they are dieing from cancer's, toxin's, and chemical's same as us human's. The force's of nature clean up our mess, but our quantity's of tonnage, cause the tipping of force in favor of changeing for the worse. If you had lived a hundred year's ago till today you would say so.

The earth does alot of things naturally, warming is one of them. But I'm a true believer that if you keep treating something bad eventually its going to have a limit and it will come back and bite ya.
What I'd like to try to understand is for those who don't believe this global warming has "anything" to do with us and what we put in the air daily year after year. What evidence do they have that what where doing isn't going to effect us "ever"? Ya, and they'd still like to believe in Santa too!!!

Global warming...a horrible nasty thing.
I personally think it is partially caused my motor vehicles, factories, and fire.
Because the smoke goes up into the air [especially all of the Carbon Dioxide] and it ruins the ozone lair.
Rotting trees also give off this product.
Another thing is hair products.
For ex: Hairspray.
Hairspray is very bad for the enviroment, so I don't use it outside.
That's just my opinion.
I'm not exactly sure what else causes it.
I hope that helps :]
