Every time I talk to a Christian about the topic, they bring up that they are under the covant with Abraham. Though the Christian experts say we are not and over 75% on earth are not circumcised.

I think the filigree of circumcision and religion only reaffirms the concept that circumcision dulls the penis.

My personal belief is that circumcision is instituted to inflict maximum damage will retaining the ability to procreate.

The main reason the God Yahweh started the circumcision covenant starting with Abraham is the same reason why our medical scientists have found out today. Circumcision is the most effective way of reducing the spread of ST D's in human populations. Not a cure but a prevention. Jews at that time starting with Abraham himself and then years later Christians and Muslims did not know God's scientific reason for this procedure and unintentionally gave it a non-scientific interpretation of the meaning of it which they still use today. But modern science will soon prove the religious interpretation wrong. Which is just the way the God Yahweh wants it to happen as part of His plan to prove to mankind that He exists.

The first documented circumcisions were performed by the Egyptians. Then through this time the Jewish religion picked this up from Moses. According to the Christians this is against moral law. We should have respect for bodily integrity. The say a person whose body has been mutalated in any way can not step foot in front of the altar of the Lord.

That's a very broad and assumptive statement! Not all Christians in the USA believe that boys need to be circumcised for religious reasons. Circumcision has been going out of style for years and some docs even refuse to do the procedure. Christ came and wiped out that rule. It's only for observant Jews to enter the covenant by having their boys done.

The old reason was scripture. Then it became for health reasons. Now it is habit. We are slowly moving away from circumcision as a populace. Especially since clean water and high hygiene standards are so common in the US (for now). When the water starts to fail more that might change.

You were receiving false information from that Christian you were talking with. Christian do not have to get circumcised. It was part of the Mosaic Covenant which had been fulfilled by Jesus Christ. The Jewish people still circumcise there young because they still subscribe to the Mosaic Covenant, but not Christianity.

Males in America are circumcised so that bacteria is not trapped around the head of the penis. I know that in a lot of families whether they are circumcised is based on the recommendation of the delivering doctor and has nothing to do with religious considerations.

I am a Christian and grew up in a Catholic country so I always thought that everyone is supposed to be circumcised. But growing up - being exposed to other religions and moving to Canada - I think that the reason behind this is partly because Jesus was circumcised and as his followers, so should we. Also, I think that it is a right of passage to adulthood for men. Just like any other religion have their rights of passage.

These are just my personal opinions. I can always be wrong xD
