I think the nice thing to do is to send her not only wonderful things, but regular things.

Think of how eagerly and excitedly she would await a weekly letter. Just a quick note and a picture you drew of the two of your together.

Other things that would be nice to send her:
-a tape recording of you talking to her
-a photo of the two of you
-bake her cookies and mail those
-send a teddy bear that she can keep on her bed to think of you
-write her a story and draw the pictures, or better yet, start a story in a lilttle booklet and you write one page and send it to her, she writes a page and sends it back, That way you can have imaginary adventures together.
-send her a DVD that you love (the little mermaid or something) and arrange to watch it at the same time so you can pretend that you'll watch it together.
- make a paper flower and mail that to her.

Good luck to you. It must be so hard to be away from your little one.

Everyone so far has given great ideas. I think you should send her maybe her favorite cookies along with the trinkets and toys. She is getting at that age where she is enjoying nail polish and jewlery, a simple little necklace or braclet, maybe send her one of those Teen Beat type megazines that has posters and interviews with actors (like high school musical, Zac and Cody, those types) all little girls enjoy posters and reading on their favorite family channel shows :)

maybe a teddy bear from you would be nice. But the one and only thing that really matters is a letter from you. It is somethingt hat she will look for and read over nad over :)

nicely, I confident ask your self how she have been on condition that way. I mean, she could have found out that from somebody, *hint*. truthfully, once you're questioning which you're a great be certain for doing this, i do no longer know what's going on. the factor to a be certain is to educate little ones good from incorrect, so sending her away (protection stress college, boot camp, etc.) would be in basic terms giving up your accountability as a be certain. in case you prefer to do away along with her so badly, enable her get excitement from a summer season camp that she'll have relaxing at. heavily, she's 8. you'll be a yet extra affected person, surprisingly with youthful little ones, who extremely regularly throw tantrums and smash issues. the full "I hate you, mom!" is temporary and could flow away. do no longer deliver her away and decrease out of your accountability, you are the mum.

This is the kind of things I sent to my son. Books, with a tape/disk of me reading it. Phone cards to call me, Stamped envelopes to write to me. Photos, crayons, little toys.

Since she's a girl you can get her barretts, hair ties, a little doll or stuffed animal.. Stuff like that I think would be nice. I also think a map of where you live could be kind of fun! Postcards too, I still do that for my kids who are grown and on their own. Little things like that.

A picture of you would be a good idea, also even though you talk to her on the phone, maybe you could write letters to each other, she can draw you pictures and send them to you as well. Good Luck!

Just because she hasn't seen her daughter doesn't mean she is in jail, geesh... It could be a divorce situation.

Anyways, 8 they are into jewelry and nail polish. Along with those do you own bead crafts.

I gave my daughter a card with the front covered in hearts and a stuffed animal she can sleep with. I was only gone a weekend, but she loved it and still has the card next to her bed.

A photo of you (or you and her together) in a nice frame, a letter or card expressing how much you love and miss her, a book you think she'll enjoy.

Why hasn't she seen you? thats odd unless it is work related or you are in jail. Send her little trinkets , girls like that kind of thing and if its from her mommy then it will make it that much more special. Like necklaces, bracelets, perfume, nail polish, bath gels, us girls love bubble baths ya know...lol maybe a cute little teddy bear she can sleep with, or a locket with your and her picture in it, or one that she could put a picture in. Good Luck and I hope you get to see her soon.
