as longis heart is in the right place? Also, people say things like don't be satisfied get more and others say be satisfied which they say not being satisfied is a bad thing by having everything u want like cars and a big house. I always be satisfied with what i have but, i want to have and get more and have somthing to show for my success and enjoy it which i don't see is a bad thing at all. And, what difference does it make if i want more because it's not like it's goin' to make the world a worst place. Oh', i'm also 17 years old, just to remind u.

I think that you need to do in life what makes you happy. When people talk about rich people it usually comes from a place of envy and jealousy. Self made rich people usually atart from the same place as everyone else however they are just smarter in what they do with their funds. They usually spend their money on things that increase in value, Houses businesses ect.. Instead of stuff, that is put in a cupboard or garrage and loses value.

there's nothing wrong with being rich. Unless you look down on everyone and you're just a big buthole. But there's nothing wrong with it. Rich people have worked to get to the top (unless they hit the lotto). My advice is just be a kind person about it. You can drive expensive cars and live the luxury life, but when someone needs a hand, offer it to them. That should apply to everyone, not just a rich person though. On the don't be satisfied ordeal. You should always strive to do your best in every aspect of life. And work hard at what you want that way you can say whatever you want to about it because you worked for it and earned it. Best of luck finding more answers. Hope that helps! =)

i dont think there is anything wrong with having more..but to a certain level! becase too much is greedy.. and that person must not see themselves as better because of where they work, how much they make or what they have! Thats why its harder to be on the right path when you have soo many materials..

ppl get caught up in money and what they have and also money can bring stress/worry...
i think a simple life is easier for ones journey but doesnt mean u cant do it with more wealth

KEEP IN MIND THAT YOU NEVER SEE A HEARSE PULLING A UHAUL SIMPLY BECAUSE U CANT TAKE IT WITH U

Theres nothing worng with being rich as long as you use it wisely meaning dont brag because that is morally wrong to do. I am an 18 year old female and live very well. I earned my riches though myself. i give to charities alot and I dont take the wealth to y head. just remember keep a good head on your shoulders and dont let the wealth take over your personal life. It is human nature to always want bigger and better things, just remember there is always something bigger and beter out there there for its a vicious cycle. There comes a time when you just have to stop and let the good come to you. Dont go out searching for it.

I think money is a really poor score keeper.

There is nothing wrong with having an abundance but if you have to much and other people have to little you need to give back.

This planet is abundantly supplied with enough goods and services that no person should ever want for food, shelter, clothing, education and medical care.

The only reason some have to little is because others have to much.

Live simply, so that others can simply live.

Peace.

It's good if you do it in moderation. Like spending money on the things you want I think gives you satisfaction and some peace of mind knowing you have it when you need it. That makes life a lot easier. So the thing is that people forget where they started and they overspend too much on useless things. That's where the problems start. So if you use your head and don't overindulge, it can be a good thing. Happy spending.

There is no problem being rich. The problem is when money becomes a God to you. This can happen even when you are poor.

Put Jesus' command to the rich young ruler in this context and you will understand that the man having lots of money was not the issue but rather that his money was worth more to him than Jesus.

My goal would be to satisfy the basic needs of my family. Then I would open accounts for each of them that would be accessible only after 10 years duration. In order to obtain the "funds," they would have to show that they had been involved in something of value to their lives. If not, the monies would "sit there" in that account for another 10 years. Again, the same "rule" would reign until the person showed "decent effort" to be of some significance to themselves and to others. Then the funds would be released. I wish you well. Peace, Love and God Bless.

What is wrong is not wealth but attachment to the desire for wealth. Being obsessed with the desire to have, to keep or even be rid of is a distraction to the soul. Wealth can be a blessing or something entrusted by God so that you can help the less fortunate. But wealth gained immorally is bad, very bad.

The warning to the rich is like the rich men from Richmond, Va and the confederates is one application :)

Mat 27:57 ¶ When the even was come, there came a rich man of Arimathaea, named Joseph, who also himself was Jesus' disciple:
